After racing a 10k last fall, I began experiencing pain in one of my toes. My flexibility was extremely limited, making running difficult. Rest, physical therapy, and wearing more supportive shoes all seemed to fail. It was then that I decided to visit Tyler. I was a bit anxious, as I had never been to an acupuncturist, but I instantly felt at ease with Tyler. She was so patient in letting me describe my injury. After my first visit, I was shocked at how drastically the range of motion in my toe increased. Tyler was also thorough in encouraging me to explain any other health related issues I may be experiencing. This resulted in her treating a few other ailments, including easing my lower back pain. Tyler was fabulous at checking in with me to ensure I was healing and I always felt comfortable asking her questions. Tyler is a very talented woman with a warm, welcoming personality that is apparent in all her work!

I initially met Tyler through a running group. I was dealing with a problem with my heel for quite some time. After seeing a podiatrist and physical therapist, my heel was still at about 95% and I still had some pain when I ran. I thought that this might be something I would just have to live with, but thought that I would try acupuncture to see if it made a difference. I had always been curious about it but never thought I had a reason to try it out. My first visit to Tyler was absolutely amazing - not only did she take the time to explain everything to me and work on my heel, but she also worked on some other minor aches that I had. After that initial session, I had my first pain-free run in over 6 months. I returned for a few additional sessions to continue to work on the issue and was able to discontinue treatment after about four weeks. I recently ran the Colfax half-marathon without a problem and this is in large part due to the treatment I received from Tyler. I have recommended her to several friends and colleagues without reservation.

In '02 I stopped taking Prempro due to scientific literature reporting it as being unsafe. 6-8 hot flashes, daily, began along with arthritis in my hand. I started taking meds for the arthritis until results came out that this also was unsafe. Finally, in April of '06 I met Tyler at a FastForwardSports expo. Being hesitant to try something new I had a 15 min. session to see my reaction to the needles. No problem! So I began 2 sessions per week for 2 months. Then I stopped for 1 month due to vacation. Since then I have returned about every other month for a treatment and am pain and hot flash free.
Tyler asks many questions at each session and "listens" to you. She is attuned to your specific needs that day and makes you feel comfortable while she concentrates on how she can best help you. I have recommended her to my friends as I'm living proof she has made my life more enjoyable.

I saw Tyler after developing carpal tunnel syndrome during my pregnancy. As a Physician Assistant in dermatology, I really needed to be able to use my hands during procedures. She was able to keep the pain, numbness and tingling at a minimum which allowed me to keep working without any problems. I would highly recommend Tyler to any pregnant woman dealing with this. After my pregnancy, she has also helped with the occasional aches and pains that come along with holding a baby and getting little sleep. My hour in her office was a little piece of heaven that I would not otherwise get.

I met Tyler personally where she had a booth set up at the Cause for Paws 5k in Boulder a year or two ago, and lucky me, I won a first free session of acupuncture. I had never had acupuncture done before but had heard good things about it. I was also suffering from minor (but constant, annoying... and ultimately draining) neck and upper back pain and I was amazed at how Tyler's acupuncture fixed it instantly (and with no side effects or numbing the symptoms with pain killers that do not get to the root of the problem) and I was good for a very long time. Even Tyler said she was surprised that one session was so effective for me, and she says it usually takes several sessions to diminish back and neck aches. It was a very powerful healing experience for me.

From the beginning, I liked Tyler very much. She is professional, outstanding at what she does, a very nice person that makes you feel instantly comfortable, and a wonderful listener (it must be the atmosphere of her clinic. I get on the table, close my eyes, and as she works, somehow all my cares in the world or my frustrations of the day fall out of my mouth as she works on me... Tyler may not be my psychotherapist (and she maintains excellent boundaries in that respect) but the overall experience that she presents is physically and emotionally therapeutic, profoundly healing and I would and do recommend her to everyone and anyone.

I try to see Tyler as regularly as I can, have returned several more times after that first appointment, and plan to use her services consistently in the future. Every so often the back and neck pain returns, I make an acupuncture appointment with Tyler, and boom like that, in the blink of an eye, I am good as new again very shortly after my session for a month or more.

Both my husband and I see Tyler. I started to see Tyler for gastrointestinal issues and I sent my husband for cardiovascular issue. My husband has had wonderful results with a drop in his blood pressure and cholesterol. I have also had great results and can really tell the difference in my digestive tract if I don’t see Tyler. I recommend Tyler to everyone I meet – not only is she a talented acupuncturist but also a great person.

I have been seeing Tyler for sometime now, for stomach issues that were effecting (or is it affecting) my life.

She has really helped balance my system, it's great. I now am only going in for maintenance.

While I was seeing Tyler for my stomach, she also helped my sleep issues. Which at that point seemed secondary, but I tell you.... sleeping thru the night is pure bliss.

I was training for my first Ironman Triathlon this summer. In the past, my training often was sidelined with multiple injuries. Heel pain and knee pain were threatening as my training volume ramped up. Also my energy levels fell as I was heading into the final weeks of training.

Tyler’s treatment and personal approach were instrumental at keeping my injuries at bay and my energy levels increased. I arrived at the starting line injury free, full of energy and ready to tackle the race of my life. Tyler deserves a heap of credit in getting me there and my everlasting gratitude in helping me complete my first Ironman.

As an avid rock climber, I put a lot of stress on my hands and arms. Tyler's work has been immensely helpful for keeping my wrists and elbows free of pain and stiffness.

MIGRAINES. One of the worst words in the human language and if you suffer from them you know this to be true. Even the word makes me cringe. I suffered from migraines for a long time, I would get about 2 - 3 migraines a month. My regular physician told me to go on some intense prescription drugs that I would probably be on for the rest of my life. Not willing to go on intense prescription drugs, I sought the help of Tyler. Since seeing Tyler over the past year, I am virtually migraine free. She has helped and is willing to help me with every aspect of my wellbeing. If I'm feeling low energy that day, or anxious, or in pain - she has a solution. I wouldn't trade the services or overall care I receive from Mountain Acupuncture Clinic for the world.

My shoulder is doing really well. I'm very impressed with just how effective 1 treatment was. I never imagined it working well for that application.

My story is pretty simple.

Broke my neck in September of 2006 and had limited motion after the bone healed. Physical therapy, massage and yoga were all great at getting some of the movement back but I was still having trouble turning my head from side to side.

I met Tyler at a running event in April and decided to give acupuncture a try.

Tyler and I worked together for about 6 weeks and we saw a great improvement.

She is awesome.

"As an elite triathlete, it's imperative that my body and energy systems are working optimally to ensure I get the most out of my training. Not only can injuries inhibit me from reaching my peak, but imbalances in digestion or other internal functions can just as easily lead to a digression in training. It was for this reason that I originally sought the help and expertise of Tyler Stroebel, L.Ac. After the first session, I could notice a difference in my workout the next day as everything appeared to be firing with more ease. My legs felt lighter and I was generally feeling like I had more energy and power. These feelings continued during the course of treatment all along while I was experiencing fewer and fewer digestive problems.

Roughly one month later, I returned to Tyler for a different issue. This time, I was experiencing discomfort in the rotator cuff muscles of my shoulder. Much to my surprise, after just the first session, I was able to swim longer that I had all week with little to no discomfort in my shoulder. The treatments continued for about three more visits before I could feel no discomfort in my shoulder at all. 4 weeks later, I went onto to complete in the Hawaii Ironman obtaining my best time ever!"

Acupuncture was new for me and Tyler answered all my questions about what was happening when she put the little needles into different areas. I had broken my colar bone and there were tender spots that went from an 8/10 discomfort to nearly gone. She also gave me some herbal medicine to aid in healing of my collarbone. I am back to 100% and my collarbone is as good as new. The biggest thing I think that sets Tyler's practice apart from other practices is the warm and welcoming atmosphere. I even came back for the happy hour- a well needed time for me at the end of my week. The acupuncture greatly added to my ability to relax and settle my insides from the business. I highly recommend Tyler as the #1 stop for all your acupuncture needs! :)

“I can be the biggest skeptic, but the acupuncture treatments I received from Tyler have really helped me with my back, hamstring, and digestive issues. It’s really been quite incredible how much she has helped me. I have recommended her to several people.”

-Kimberly Baldwin

A competitive runner for many years, I saw Tyler for knee and lower back pain. As Head Coach of FastForward Sports Denver Operations and responsible for training a large group of Denver Marathoners, it is vitally important that I be able to run with the athletes I train. My knee pain was serious enough to jeopardize that.

I saw Tyler’s wonderful acupuncture treatment as a critical link in my comprehensive and holistic healing plan. Tyler’s atmosphere of healing; a quiet, comfortable, peaceful environment; immediately put me at ease, and I knew I was on the right track. After just a few of her professional treatments with an impressively personalized touch, my conditions improved rapidly. I was actually eager to make the drive from south metro Denver to Boulder to benefit from Tyler’s healing touch!

Because of Tyler’s care, I was able to run pain-free all summer and thoroughly enjoyed my experience with the Denver Marathoners and Half Marathoners. I couldn’t be happier with the care I received from Tyler, and I recommend her regularly to the athletes I train.
